The Forgotten Coast – Florida – Planned Spontaneity

The Forgotten Coast – Florida – Planned Spontaneity

We took a blended household trip in October to Cape San Blas, Florida. It has been a number of years since I had been to the seashore so we have been actually wanting ahead to this trip and simply stress-free.

Cape San Blas is situated on the panhandle of Florida, however it’s distinctive since it’s a peninsula that’s bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on one facet and St. Joseph Bay on the opposite.

We had heard that the water was a bit cloudy and the seashore was a bit naked since a couple of hurricanes had come by means of recently, however I nonetheless thought it was stunning.

I would be the first to confess that I’m not a lot of a seashore individual so I wish to all the time be exploring, however every day most of us headed right down to the seashore within the afternoon and simply loved the solar and stress-free. We’d watch the solar set over the Gulf of Mexico. It was so peaceable.

Whereas we did go within the off season, I feel one of many issues I appreciated probably the most about Cape San Blas was that it felt far much less touristy than different seashores I’ve been to earlier than. Because of this the world will get its’ title “The Forgotten Coast”.

After all we needed to squeeze in a hike! On the finish of the peninsula is T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. You may try my weblog submit HERE!

One of many largest cities close to Cape San Blas is Port Saint Joe. We took a drive right here and visited the sunshine home. It value $5 to go as much as the highest!

From there, we drove up the coast to Mexico Seaside to go to Forgotten Coast Brewery and alongside the best way, we discovered the big seashore chair that marks the time change! Cape San Blas is within the Japanese Time Zone whereas Mexico Seaside is in Central Time Zone!

The Cape San Blas crew under! We tie dyed shirts!

We had a extremely nice time and it was so good to only calm down and recharge. We hope to be again, Cape San Blas!
