A terrific method to acclimatize to altitude from Quito is to take one of many highest aerial lifts on the planet, rising from 3,117 m (10,226 ft) to three,945 m (12,943 ft).

It’s referred to as the TelefériQo. $9 ticket in 2026. Get there near opening within the morning at 9 or 10am.

There are nice views of Quito beneath.

The path is simple strolling via grassland.

Ruku peak is 4,698 metres (15,413 ft) — however the prime is a scramble. You may want a helmet.

Each peaks are seen from the town of Quito and each are widespread acclimatization climbs. Wawa Pichincha is normally accessed from the village of Lloa exterior of Quito. Ruku is usually accessed from the TelefériQo on the western facet of Quito.
