The American Mountaineering Society Board of Administrators is happy to welcome candidates for the Government Director.
The Government Director (ED) is AHS’s chief government officer, accountable for advancing the mission, technique, monetary well being, and public presence of the group and for general organizational efficiency and long-term monetary sustainability. Partnering with the Board of Administrators, the ED leads packages, advocacy, operations, and workers in alignment with AHS’s mission of “empowering all to get pleasure from, share, and protect the mountain climbing expertise.”
The ED serves as the first strategist, chief, and spokesperson for AHS, whereas offering insightful steering to the Board on governance and fiduciary tasks. The position requires a visionary nonprofit chief with robust administration, monetary, fundraising, and communications expertise, and a real ardour for trails and conservation.
