A remnant of the huge flatwoods and moist prairies that after surrounded the headwaters of Snake Creek, Miramar Pineland Park reveals glimpses of previous pure landscapes.

This space has been inhabited for hundreds of years, from Tequesta and Seminole tribes, to later agricultural use and potential housing growth.

Broward County acquired the property in 1989, and the park opened to the general public in 2013.
