Journey report by BestHike editor Rick McCharles
The closest formally designated climbing path to Parksville is Prime Bridge Regional Path from Rathtrevor Provincial Park.
I’ve hiked it at the least 100 instances — although it’s been rerouted lately.
Solely 4km one solution to a formidable pedestrian-cyclist suspension bridge from my favorite seaside on Vancouver Island, Rathtrevor.
Usually I don’t begin from Rarthrevor. I skip the highway strolling and start on the “I” data signal. That’s the trailhead car parking zone: 175 Allsbrook Rd, Parksville.

NOTE ➙ There are plans to develop the municipal path system by connecting Prime Bridge and Coombs to Parksville Rail Path.
