No A.I. was used on this submit.
Lower than an hour from Vegas is extremely attractive Valley of Hearth State Park.
We stopped by the brand new (and underneath building) customer centre

Ranger really helpful Hearth Wave and Seven Wonders Loop.
We might determine whether or not or to not add the White Domes path after we acquired to the turn-off.
From the parking zone, we needed to determine which route to hike. The signage is minimal on this park, for good and dangerous.
Most individuals gave the impression to be going clockwise (wanting from the highest) so we joined them.
It’s ALL good. Countless spectacular desert vistas.

Temperatures average in early January. Winter is a perfect time to hike the Nevada deserts. This path was busy with vacationers.
(Notice that I strive to not submit images & movies of individuals with out their permission.)

Slot canyons are nearly all the time dry. However over Christmas / New Years 2025, this space had rains for a number of days. We had water in among the canyons.
… By some means we missed the turnoff to White Domes. Oops.
Subsequent drove to Petroglyph Canyon through Mouse’s Tank Path.
Right here’s the Mouse’s Tank.

Lastly we stopped at Atlatl Rock Viewpoint for lunch.
Stairs take you up near among the greatest petroglyphs within the park.

How did they stand up there 40,000 years in the past?

On the best way out, we noticed a big herd of Bighorn Sheep. They appeared solely nonplussed by vacationers.

We’re already planning future journeys. The campgrounds listed here are glorious.
